Laser targets the pigment in hair follicles during the active growth phase. Heat from the laser reduces the follicle’s ability to regrow hair, and multiple sessions are needed because hair grows in cycles.

• Shave the area 12 to 24 hours before treatment.
• Avoid waxing, tweezing, or hair removal creams within 3 weeks prior.
• Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanner for at least 3 weeks beforehand.
• Ensure any sunless tanner is fully removed before your visit.
• Avoid lotions, oils, deodorants, and active skincare products on treatment day.

• Wait at least 2 hours before showering with lukewarm or cool water.
• Wait 2 hours before resuming workouts.
• Avoid hot showers, hot tubs, steam rooms, tight clothing, and seat heaters for 2 hours after the treatment, longer if experiencing irritation. 
• Use a fragrance-free lotion or restorative gel as directed.
• Mild redness, swelling, or small bumps are normal and usually fade within 24 to 72 hours.

These areas can be more sensitive. Most clients describe the sensation as a quick snap or mild tingling. Sensitivity varies by personal pain tolerance and hormonal factors. Simplicity Laser uses the Candela GentleMax Pro with a Zimmer cooling system to help keep treatments comfortable.

Avoid harsh exfoliating, especially chemical exfoliants right before treatment, wear loose cotton underwear afterward, and use a soothing aloe-based or fragrance-free moisturizer.
